  • At Cosy Home, we specialize in comprehensive, turnkey renovations — we do not carry out partial remodels. The timeline for a full renovation depends largely on the size and complexity of the property.

    For spacious apartments, the process typically takes between 3 to 5 months. For larger-scale projects such as villas, you can expect a timeline of 6 to 10 months.

    Of course, this can vary depending on the specific challenges that arise during execution, as well as the scope of any exterior works, including landscaping, roofing, swimming pools, and other structural or design elements.

  • The cost of a full renovation varies significantly depending on two key factors: the materials selected by the client and the scope of work to be carried out, particularly in the case of villas.

    At Cosy Home, we provide our clients with a curated selection of material options — thoughtfully presented in a range of qualities and styles — so they can choose according to their preferences without having to worry about sourcing or coordination.

    It’s important to note that renovating the interior of a villa is not the same as undertaking a full-scale project that includes landscaping, a new swimming pool, roofing, home automation systems, solar installations, or pool heating and climate control.

    To offer a reference point, our starting price is approximately €1000 per square metre, with the final cost depending on the quality of materials chosen and the complexity of the project.

    For fully comprehensive villa renovations — including everything from plumbing and electrical systems to solar panels, fireplaces, pools, and outdoor kitchens or BBQ areas — we have completed projects in locations such as Marbella, Lanzarote, and Madrid, typically ranging between €1,200 and €1,500 per square metre.

  • Yes — in most cases, a permit is required when undertaking a full renovation, particularly if the works involve structural modifications, alterations to electrical or plumbing systems, or changes to the building’s façade, such as creating new openings or modifying existing windows.

    However, in some instances — where no structural elements are affected and the layout of façades or existing openings remains unchanged — a simple sworn declaration (known as a "responsible declaration") may be sufficient.
